A unified system—Advisor Compass 2.0—designed to consolidate tools into a single, intuitive experience. No more hopping between applications. Instead, advisors would gain a streamlined, visually cohesive platform that empowers them to focus on clients rather than technology.

The Problem

Advisors at Ameriprise rely on more than 50 different sites and web applications to manage their work. This fragmented ecosystem created several challenges:

  • Inconsistent visual design across platforms
  • Cumbersome navigation, requiring constant switching between tools
  • Inefficient workflows, slowing down advisor productivity

Impact

Advisor Compass 2.0 laid the foundation for a streamlined, advisor-first ecosystem. 

By consolidating tools and modernizing design, it improved efficiency, reduced frustration, and empowered advisors to focus more on client relationships rather than navigating technology. 

Due to confidentiality agreements, specific client details cannot be disclosed. This case study highlights the design approach, problem-solving process, and measurable outcomes in a generalized form.
